If you’re thinking about Invisalign and want to know what people look like before and after, this article is for you.

Why did my teeth become yellow while using Invisalign?

Invisalign will not make your teeth go yellow as there is no process behind Invisalign which could make this happen. However, if you keep your braces in whilst you eat/drink, or don’t clean your teeth properly after eating or drinking and then put your aligners back in, you may notice the teeth go yellow faster. Plaque builds up on your teeth continuously and it needs to be removed with washing/rinsing with mouthwash after meals. If you allow this plaque to build up by wearing your aligners on dirty teeth, then the yellowing process can speed up.

Can braces or Invisalign make your teeth fall out?

Moving teeth always comes with some risk although this is incredibly low. Your dentist will assess your oral health prior to prescribing Invisalign or braces, your dentist will only prescribed this treatment if they are sure that your teeth and gums healthy, this means your teeth won’t fall out with braces or Invisalign. This is why this type of treatment should always be undertaken by a registered dentist.

Will malocclusion after Invisalign improve?

Invisalign or braces, which one needs more time and care?

Ultimately traditional train track teeth braces may be able to move teeth a little quicker than Invisalign, however they definitely need more care. You will need to ensure you clean in between your teeth very carefully each day, which can be difficult if you have brackets and wires. Invisalign might take a little longer however your teeth are much easier to care for whilst wearing Invisalign braces.

Does Invisalign help teeth stay in formation longer than braces?

There is no difference between Invisalign and conventional braces when it comes to how long your teeth stay in formation after treatment. This factor is determined by whether you wear a retainer or not. Retainers can be made invisible and fit on the tongue side of your teeth, please see the images above.
